Frequently Asked Questions for Our Rental Department

No hidden fees here, just clear pricing! When you pick up your RV, a security/cleaning/mileage deposit will be required. If you return the RV spic and span, the cleaning deposit is refunded. There are also additional kilometer packages available if you plan on doing a lot of exploring. You can also add on extras like cancellation insurance or convenience kits. And remember, the cost of gasoline is always your responsibility – gotta fuel those adventures!

There's no fee for U.S. travel. Just make sure you're aware of any international driver's license recommendations if you're coming from overseas.

Animals and smoking are not permitted in our vehicles. There's a minimum fine of $250 if you bring a pet or smoke in your rented RV.

We've got you covered with some basics! The preparation fee includes that first tank of propane and a whole list of useful tools and cleaning supplies. If you want to make packing even easier, check out our convenience kits! Otherwise, you'll want to bring your own linens, pillows, duvet, and towels if you opt for just the dishes kit.

We sure do! Our convenience kits are $105 per person, per rental, with a maximum charge of 4 kits or $400. Each kit per person includes a duvet and duvet cover, a flat sheet and a fitted sheet, a pillow and pillow slip, a bath towel, a hand towel, a face cloth, a bath mat per unit, a large plate, a cereal bowl, a cup, a glass, a knife, a fork, a tablespoon, a teaspoon, and a steak knife. For the vehicle, you'll get a set of pots, a frying pan, a set of bowls, a can opener, a corkscrew, a whisk, a spatula, two carving knives, a peeler, a serving spoon, a cooking spoon, a cutlery tray, a cutting board, a kettle, a coffee maker, a toaster, two tea towels, a strainer, a fire extinguisher, a cleaning cloth, and a pot holder set.

If you prefer to bring your own bedding, we also offer a "dishes only" kit for a flat fee of $90, which includes all the kitchenware but none of the linen items. It's a great value if you want to bring your own sleeping bag!

Well, Canada is a big, beautiful country, and the possibilities are endless! I can't give you specific routes since they depend on what kind of adventure you're looking for, but I can tell you that travel on the Dempster Hwy (Yukon Hwy 5 and Northwest Territories Hwy 8) into the NW Territories and Nunavut is not allowed. Also, RVs aren't permitted on roads designated as 'other roads' (gravel or dirt) on official provincial and state maps.

Nope, no special license needed for most of our RVs! A valid national driver's license is all it takes to rent an RV. For our friends from overseas, an international driver's license is recommended. As for age, the main renter needs to be between 25 and 75 years old and have a valid credit card at pick-up time.

The early bird gets the worm, or in this case, the RV! While we do have less than 7-day rentals available on a last-minute basis, it's always best to reserve in advance, especially for popular times. Limited quantities are available for miscellaneous items too, so if you have your heart set on something like a bike rack, book it early!

Our Jay Flight Trailers have a minimum rental of 7 days. For other units, we sometimes have less than 7-day rentals available on a last-minute basis – just ask our Rental Associates for details!

We offer free roadside assistance, which is one of our Owasco Perks. We help provide this 24/7 support in both Canada and the U.S.

Yes, you do, partner! We require a cleaning deposit at pick-up, which is refunded when you bring the RV back clean. So, give it a good tidy up before you hand over the keys.

While I can't give you legal advice on where to park, I always recommend finding designated RV parks or campgrounds for overnight stays. It's safer and you'll often have access to hookups and amenities.

That's a great question, and one that's best answered in person! We dedicate 60-90 minutes to familiarizing you with the vehicle's use and operation, which covers all aspects necessary for enjoying your RV, including how to handle those holding tanks.

A deposit of $500 is required at the time of booking. Your booking is only confirmed once Owasco accepts the deposit as the first installment. If full payment isn't received 30 days prior to departure, we reserve the right to cancel your booking without notice and without refund of your deposit. Rental dates can be extended if available, but they aren't guaranteed.

That's a good question! For specific details on one-way rentals, it's best to chat with our Rental Associates directly.

Absolutely! We offer complimentary parking for one vehicle per rental. It's one of our Owasco Perks!

We don't have specific restrictions on festivals or events, but always remember our rules about animals and smoking – they're not allowed in our vehicles.

You're responsible for all traffic violations and parking tickets. If you get a ticket, it's essential to present it to us when you return the vehicle, along with the fine payment. We'll handle the paperwork and pay the fine without any additional charges. But, if you don't report a ticket, Owasco will charge a $25 fee in addition to the fine to your credit card.

Nope, no smoking allowed! There's a minimum fine of $250 if you smoke in your rented vehicle. We want to keep our RVs fresh for all our renters!

That's a very important question, and the answer can vary. It's best to call us directly so we can discuss our current fleet and see if we have a unit that meets your specific needs. You can reach us at 365-401-3029.

Always aim for that return window of 9 AM and 11 AM! There can be late fees, so it's always best to communicate with us if you anticipate being late.

You might be able to! Rental dates can be extended if the vehicle is available, but it's not guaranteed. Give us a call, and we'll see what we can do for you.
